A young Christian woman, sexy beyond her years, comes of age in the hands of an older lover, despite objections from her family, her faith – and her fears.

desire_fbWhat is happening this time – and why – when love struggles to grow – even in the presence of irresistible touch, gorgeous bodies, great sex and a soul connection? With strong ties to faith and family Desire defines her own independence, fueled by her talent – and her sexuality. But falling for Mose is challenging, even as she handles the demands on her choices from her brother, Woodson, his wife, Catherine, and her childhood church family. How does Desire keep what is hers?

“My vineyard, my very own, is for myself; . . .” ~Song of Songs 8:12

Desire’s Kiss was the #1 Screenplay at the 2013 Urban Mediamakers Film Festival.

“I come to my garden, my sister, my bride; I gather myrrh with my spice, I eat my honeycomb with my honey, I drink my wine with my milk. . . .

I slept, but my heart was awake. Listen! my beloved is knocking.

Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my perfect one; for my head is wet with dew, my locks with the drops of the night.

My beloved thrust his hand into the opening, and my inmost being yearned for him. I arose to open to my beloved, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with liquid myrrh, . . .”

~Song of Songs 5:1-5

Feminine sexuality is a good thing – wholly worthy of celebration and full understanding. Conservative interpretations of sacred texts across faith traditions tend to guide us toward a singularly proper understanding of love, sex, and relationships. In my Judeo-Christian heritage I know that there is no one right way to grasp and live out this core part of ourselves. I suspect the same is true for other faith/belief systems. So, let’s see for ourselves.

We look forward to everyone joining our conversations – everyone indeed means everyone!
